We will walk you through the science and skill behind mashing, fermentation, and pot distillation, and give a behind-the-scenes look at how Kings County Distillery became NYC’s oldest distillery since Prohibition. Next, step into our barrel room and breathe in the angel’s share as you uncover how oak transforms clear spirit into rich, flavorful whiskey. Wrap it all up with a guided tasting featuring four of our signature whiskeys, including one of our harder-to-find gems. Duration is approximately 75 minutes.
Thank you for booking the Top Shelf Tour with Kings County Distillery. Please meet us at the tasting room located at 299 Sands Street, on the corner of Sands and Navy. Please do not go directly to the distillery.
At this time children are not permitted on the tour, unless they are young enough to be worn by a parent/guardian in an infant carrier.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the starting time. Traffic is often much worse than one might expect, especially if you are traveling from out of state or far away, so please buffer extra time.Tours will start no later than 5 minutes after the listed time.If you arrive more than 10 minutes late your spot will be forfeited to someone on our waitlist with no option to reschedule or be refunded.
This requires going up and down stairs as well as long periods of standing.
